Luigi is a primary school teacher, a certified school counselor at the Centro Milanese di Terapia della Famiglia (Milan Centre for Family Therapy) and is signed at the AssoCounseling National Register as a counselor, trainer and supervisor. He graduated in Educational Science, and is a lecturer at the Bergamo School of Systemic Pluralistic Counseling, responsible of projects for schools and supervisor of the external internship trainees about intercultural-schooling.
He works for the Centro Milanese di Terapia della Famiglia. (Milan Centre for Family Therapy).

Luigi Ubbiali has been involved with the Shinui Centre since its inception, first through his internship, then as class tutor, and since 2005 as a veteran member of the lecturing staff and of the clinical team. He has collaborated for several years with the Bergamo Arcigay Association and has published articles regarding the theme of gender identity (see publications).
